We’ll give you a free trial before signing up. During that period, we’ll evaluate your business’s monthly expense volume to determine which subscription package is right for you.

Yes, of course. We would never lock you in with our service, and we’ll make it easy to get your financials in case you ever decide to leave.

We conduct monthly and annual plan reviews. If we find that your average monthly expense level either increased or decreased since your last review, we will let you know one month in advance before adjusting your plan.

We can always conduct a review upon your request if your bookkeeping needs suddenly change

Definitely not. All plans include monthly bookkeeping for up to 10 financial accounts./ This Includes bank accounts, credit cards, loans and merchant processors.

Your trial

Your free trial includes one month of your bookkeeping completed in the form of an income statement and balance sheet.

Whether or not you decide we’re the right fit for your business, the income statement and balance sheet are yours to keep.

Right after you sign up, we’ll call you to learn more about your business and bookkeeping needs. On that call, we’ll connect your accounts with us and gather any extra documentation we’ll need to complete your books.

Once we have everything together, we’ll complete a month of your bookkeeping in 1-2 days. Our bookkeepers reconcile your accounts, categorise your transactions, and make necessary adjustments to your books. The end result is a set of accurate financial statements—an income statement and a balance sheet.

Once your financial statements are with you, we’ll review them on the phone together. This call is the opportunity for you to ask as many questions as you may have about our services before you decide on any partnership with us.

The answer is no. Definitely not We’ll only ask for your payment info if you decide to continue with our service. The trial is 100% risk free! No surprise auto-billing.

Integrations and Add-ons

Xero and other Accounting softwares are fully realised software for you to do your own bookkeeping. uBooks partners with Xero to complete your bookkeeping on their platform and provide you with information relevant to you on a beautiful dashboard.

You get a team of real, expert bookkeepers in addition to software. You’ll have access to the human support you need and an app to access your up-to-date financials.

Sure does! Whether you have an existing Xero account or not if you link up your details with either uBooks or Xero the information will freely flow between both so you can only ever have to use uBooks. Leave the complicated bookkeeping software for us to handle so you can view only what matters to you.

Switching from QuickBooks, we’ll work from your closing balances to do your bookkeeping moving forward.

We’re connected with Stripe, Square, Shopify, Paypal, Amazon and Gocardless By connecting your payment processor, all of your transactions are securely stored in our database.

Absolutely! We’re connected with most major banks in Australia. Plus, connecting your bank account gives your bookkeeping team access to your transaction history and account statements, nothing more and nothing less.

Accounting services

Certainly! We support bookkeeping for all accounting methods. If you’re not familiar what system is right for you, talk to us. We’d be happy to setup a modified plan that suits your individual financial needs.

We have some exciting new developments happening at uBooks. Once our dashboard goes live you will be able to invoice from within. The beauty of it is, is that it feeds with Xero so we can pick it up and reconcile it with payments when we do your monthly bookkeeping.

We don’t file your taxes but we will make sure you’re set up perfectly for tax time. We prepare a Year End Financial package that contains everything you need to file.

If you have a tax agent, we’ll work with them directly. We’ll even be able to give them their own login, so you won’t need to worry about emailing back and forth or sending them your files.

If you don’t have a tax agent, we can partner you up with one that we trust.

We promise to make your bookkeeping easy. But for tax, legal or financial advice, we highly recommend chatting with a tax agent or a solicitor for a tax or legal advice.

About Us and Bookkeeping

Bookkeeping helps create a crystal clear picture of your cash flow. When your books are up-to-date, you get an accurate measure of your business’s health and can make smarter financial decisions.

Having accurate books pays off at tax time too. When it’s up-to-date, you can avoid scrambling to get caught up before the tax deadline, or missing out on any deductions.

Your bookkeeper reconciles your accounts, categorises your transactions, and produces your financial statements. They also make adjustments to your books to ensure they’re tax-compliant.

Occasionally your bookkeeper might need your input on things like categorising a transaction properly, but we will try our best to take bookkeeping off your plate

You can even schedule a call or send an in-app message to your bookkeeper whenever you would like. There’s no extra fee or hourly charges for the support we are offering. We are always happy to flat out on bookkeeping and your financial statements.

Once we complete all of your documents, we’ll finish your bookkeeping for the month within 15 business days. This gives us enough time to make any necessary adjustments before the end of the month.

You will be paired to a bookkeeping team consists of 3 professionally trained bookkeepers, including one senior bookkeeper who review all your monthly statement and your Year End Financial package.

We try our best to keep you with the same bookkeeping team you start with. If there’s any change in your team, we’ll let you know as soon as possible and make sure that the transition is a smooth one.

Of course! You can add any amount of Catch Up bookkeeping to a standard uBooks plan. No matter how far behind you are, even if that’s years behind, we can get you caught up as quick as we possibly can.

This depends on how many months of Catch Up bookkeeping you requested. But typically it will take us about 2-4 weeks to complete a year’s worth of backlogged bookkeeping. Talk to our Onboarding Specialist to get an exact turnaround time.

All of our bookkeepers report to our Sydney headquarters. We don’t outsource your bookkeeping, and we have no plans in doing so.

uBooks Software

We partner with Xero so all our clients have to have a Xero account. Don’t worry if you don’t as we will set you up with one when you sign up for uBooks.

Exciting new developments are always happening at uBooks and while we don’t have an app now we plan to have one in the near future. This will mean you won’t even need to be in front of a computer when it comes to assisting us with your bookkeeping.

We’ll be connected to your bank and merchant processor accounts for seamless data transfer. For the most part, we’ll have all the information of the transactions we’ll need to do your books.

Although, there may be some times that we’ll request documents from you, like account statements or receipts, to make sure we have the correct information. In case we’ll need you to share any documents, you may do this in our app or via email. It’s as simple as drag, drop and upload the file. We’ll take care of the rest.

As we do your bookkeeping on Xero we will be able to access all the previous information on there. We still would like to get a copy of your most recent financial statements during the onboarding process so we can verify an exact and certified starting date. If you don’t have a Xero account then we would still all the same require the most recent set of financial for your business.

Send us your latest balance sheet and income statement, and you’ll be all set. We’ll take care of it for you.
